Write better essays

Your essays are an important aspect for your grades. A well-crafted essay showcases your writing skills while giving your professor a sense of who you are in the academic world. When composing your essay, try the following tips to ace your essay in class. Start with brainstorming. Sometimes the starting part can be the hardest. Brainstorm your ideas after gathering enough resources for your essay. Choose your points and write down your arguments before you start writing the first draft. Let your ideas flow in the first draft. Once you have gathered enough notes, create an outline in order to organize your essay. Decide where you want each example to appear. Once done, you are ready to compose a first draft.

Essay parts

Do not worry about making the first draft perfect. Let your thoughts flow and get your ideas down on paper. Yes you may make mistakes, but you will correct them in later drafts. Develop three essay parts. Introduction: this paragraph opens up your essay and let your reader know what you are about to say. Body: the body part consists of several paragraphs. You will prove your main point with evidence and examples. Conclusion: the conclusion is the paragraph that ends the essay while concluding your ideas. Be specific. Give a focus for your essay by figuring out how your main point answers the question and taking a specific angle to answer it. Everything you include in the essay should support your main viewpoint. This is the secret to a strong essay.

Creative angle

When composing an essay, you need to find a unique angle that has not been largely explored. Your college instructor may have read many essays with the same tone on a specific topic. In order to impress your professor and receive top grade with your essay, you should keep exploring till you find a creative angle that you can rely on. Get feedback. Get opinions from friends, teachers or a knowledgeable family member. Ask if your essay makes sense and sounds persuasive. They may be able to spot some issues that are overlooked by you. Consider the feedback from them and make some changes if needed, but keep your main voice alive. Proof and edit. Read your essay over. Check for spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors and correct them. Make sure your essay meets your instructor’s format requirements
